Please read the following booking terms and conditions, and make sure you contact us well in advance of your stay if anything is unclear so as to avoid any misunderstandings.
1. Premises. Nordic farmer suites embraces nature and tranquillity as sources of wellbeing. The suites are located a 10 minute drive from the centre of Ostuni in Puglia, southern Italy, and are developed around a century-old trullo; a traditional, stonebuilt farmhouse brought to par with modern standards. The suites have been carefully embedded in the existing landscape, and the terraces have been restored to their original forms, lined with stonewalls. The farm consists of nearly two hectares of olive trees and other fruit trees, and produces olive oil, lavender and honey.
The farm consists of three suites, each with a king size bed and its own bathroom. All suites are equipped with air-cooling and, if needed, floor heating. The private gardens include shaded sitting areas for each of the suites, and a discretely positioned swimming pool for the sole use of guests. Breakfast will be served daily at the time of guests’ choice, and will, when possible, consist of local, organic produce. Each suite is equipped with its own small refrigerator and a water boiler. Please note that as of 2024, the suites do not offer further kitchen amenities.
2. Bookings. Your booking will be confirmed upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of 50 (fifty) per cent of the total of your stay. Bookings made less than 30 (thirty) days prior to your arrival date must be paid in full. Once the booking payment has been received, an email confirmation will be issued with the dates of your stay. The remaining 50 (fifty) per cent of your stay must be paid prior to departure from the suites. Check-in is from 1400 on the arrival date and check-out by 1200 on the day of departure. Please contact us if you would like to request other hours of arrival/departure. The terms and conditions apply to all members of the booking and failure to comply with these terms and conditions may lead to termination and/or loss of the booking.
We strongly advise you to ensure you have travel insurance to cover costs of any cancellations as the booking deposit will not be refunded. All cancellations must be notified in writing and once received we will confirm the cancellation. In case of cancellation and if we are successful in getting a replacement booking, we will refund the total amount paid less a 5 (five) per cent booking fee and any difference in price between your original and the replacement booking.
The owner reserves the right to refuse a booking without giving any reason, in such a case any payment will be refunded. If your booking is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, notification will be given of the cancellation as soon as possible and any payment made to us for your holiday will be refunded. Our liability for cancellation will be limited to payments made to us.
3. Use of the property. Please treat the suites and property with due care so that other guests also may enjoy them. Please remove shoes before entering the house. Pets are not allowed and smoking or vaping is not permitted inside. Please do not move any furniture from one room to another or any of the indoor furniture, furnishings or bedlinen outside. All inventory must remain in the property at the end of your stay. Please lock the doors and close the windows when you leave the property unoccupied. Fireworks, lanterns, firepits, candles and portable barbecues are not allowed.
Please note that the Nordic farmer suites are located in a natural, tranquil setting and guests are kindly asked to respect the surroundings and maintain quiet hours between 2300 and 0700. Only those persons listed on the booking are allowed access to the premises, and any additional visitors may only be allowed by prior agreement with the owner of Nordic farmer suites.
No parties or similar events are allowed, other than by prior agreement with the owner of Nordic farmer suites. Commercial photography or filming is only allowed by prior agreement with the owner of Nordic farmer suites. We would be grateful if you could report any damages during your stay and prior to check-out. You may be charged for any loss, damage or extra cleaning costs.
The terraces and staircases are built according to local tradition and do not contain railings, and the outdoor lighting is designed to minimise light pollution. Any guests who may need assistance to safely move through outdoor spaces are kindly asked to give notice prior to their stay.
The swimming pool is 140 centimetres deep throughout, apart from the staircase. Any use of the pool is at the guests’ own responsibility. Please make use of the staircase to enter the pool, and ensure proper use the outdoor shower prior to using the pool. Diving is not permitted at any time or in any way. Please avoid using glass in the pool. Any guests under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult capable of swimming. Nordic farmer is not responsible for any injury, disability or other arising from whatsoever reasons while exercising or playing in the swimming pool area.
Any problem or complaint must be reported as soon as possible and directly to the owner of Nordic farmer suites to allow the opportunity to resolve it.
4. Breakfast. Once your first payment is confirmed, you will receive an email for the order of your daily breakfast as well as any personalised travel suggestions. Please give notice of any known allergies or food preferences, so this may be accommodated for in the daily breakfast.
5. Data registration and usage. By law, we are required to register the names, ages and contact details of all guests included in the booking.
